Robert M. Schindler works out of the Pittsburgh, PA office of Geo-Solutions concentrating on projects in the American east. He holds a degree in engineering and has over 17 years of experience in the specialty environmental and geotechnical construction field. He is responsible for marketing, estimating, managing, and supervising Geo-Solutions' technical assistance services for projects that include slurry walls, Bio-Polymer drains, reactive barriers, vertical curtain walls, soil mixing and other related techniques.

Bob Schindler’s Background

Bob started as a field supervisor and worked through the ranks as Project Manager, Regional Manger, and finally as Vice President. He has been responsible for the construction of a wide variety of geo-technical and geo-environmental projects. He also worked for a major liner manufacturer/installer, supervising the construction and closure of landfill cells.

At the Forefront

Bob Schindler has actively participated in many cutting edge projects. He managed the first permeable reactive barrier project installed using the Biopolymer trenching technique at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He also managed the first permeable reactive barrier project installed using the Deep Soil Mixing method for NASA in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Bob Schindler’s Recent Work

Bob's recent projects include a 2 mile long soil-bentonite slurry wall in Southern Florida, a Shallow Soil Mixing project outside of Boston, Mass., a 104,000 sq. ft. soil-bentonite slurry wall in Brantford, Ontario, two Bio-Polymer collection trenches in Tarrytown, New York, along with a host of others. In fitting with Geo-Solution's project goals, Bob is very quality- and production-minded. He enjoys the opportunity to work with a variety of contractors and engineers to successfully complete a variety of unique projects.
