Some slurry cut off wall installations are at sites where the permeability of the slurry wall is of less importance. These sites might include:
Temporary dewatering of excavations
Using a slurry wall to enable installation of piling through difficult driving conditions
Contracting a slurry wall when a method specification is preferable.
In these situations, the engineer may select a specification which is somewhat simpler than a normal specification. The sample specification found in this section provides a less stringent version of the sample spec from the previous section.
