On Site Supervision & Technical Assistance
Long Stick Excavator Attachment for Slurry Wall Construction
 |
Geo-Solutions has the ability to bring skilled supervisors, specialized materials and specialty equipment to the job site to assist the general contractor in the execution of projects involving soil mixing, reactive barriers, slurry walls, biopolymer drains, and other forms of geotechnical construction. Our supervisors are highly trained and experienced in training a contractor’s staff.
Geo-Solutions has a fleet of pumping, soil mixing, and deep excavating equipment. We also have access to all specialty materials and are knowledgeable in their use. We bring to the site only those items that are requested and required for successful specialty construction. This service most often applies where specialty technologies such as jet grouting, Bio-Polymer slurry trenches, reactive barriers, and slurry walls are being implemented.
Our People
We have a pool of people with extensive experience available to work on sites. Typically our staff has in excess of 20 years experience in specialty soil and groundwater construction technologies. Often our principals serve in the field as specialty supervisors and technical advisors.
Specialty Construction Equipment for Soil Mixing, Jet Grouting & More
Our equipment is typically state-of-the-art and the most modern available. We have special attachments for jet grouting, In Situ Soil Mixing, and slurry wall construction that can be mounted on our client’s equipment to maximize equipment usage and minimize mobilization costs. We also own specially manufactured equipment (i.e. end stops, tremies, end stops, sampling equipment, etc.) that may be impossible to rent or manufacture prior to construction. Our Pittsburgh headquarters manufacturers and maintains most of our equipment and parts. Our equipment is guaranteed to arrive on our contractor’s site in good repair and ready to work.
How We Help You
Geo-Solutions works with our general contractors from the bid process through submittals through construction to ensure the project is a financial as well as technical success. In the bid stage we provide detailed lists of the equipment and manpower required for construction in the bid phase. We also provide our best estimate of production rates, likely pitfalls and safety factors. We generally know what equipment will do the work at the minimum cost with the greatest productivity. Our years of experience with groundwater collection, permeable reactive barriers, and other forms of specialty construction generally allow us to accurately estimate or calculate material usage.
In the field, our staff can be relied upon to provide the direction, supervision, and guidance needed to make the project a success. Our people are familiar with instructing construction workers on building slurry cut off walls, reactive barriers, and Bio-Polymer drains in addition to dealing with supervising engineers and hands-on owners. When difficulties arise, our staff generally knows the swiftest and most economical solution, and we freely communicate with all parties.
