Specialty Excavator Attachments

Geo-Solutions designs and builds its own excavator attachments for excavating deep slurry walls. After 30 plus years of experience, these excavator attachments have been refined for optimum productivity and minimum down time. All of the excavator attachments are built for modern, up to date excavators. In addition, Geo-Solutions owns and operates specialized slurry clamshell buckets for digging slurry trenches that extend below the depth that extended excavators can reach to.
Geo-Solutions extended reach excavator boom and stick PC1100 with Extended Boom and Stick, Depth Capacity 85 ft. (25m). This extended reach excavator boom and stick combo will also fit on the PC 1250. Here it is seen on a project in Loxahatchee, FL where a slurry wall was used to isolate a lake that would contain water supply water from the local groundwater table.
Komatsu PC 1100 with Extended Stick, Depth Capacity 72 ft. (21m).. The same unit as shown above can be more conveniently mounted with the extended stick only on a stock boom for projects where the depth requirements are not so extreme. This unit is working on creating a slurry wall groundwater barrier around a man-made lake near Greely CO. Geo-Solutions extended reach excavator stick
Geo-Solutions extended reach excavator Komatsu PC 750 with Extended Boom and Stick, Depth Capacity 65 ft. (19m). On a project in West Sacramento CA, a slurry wall was used to create a seepage curtain to prevent flow under an existing levee. The river-side toe of the levee was removed, the slurry wall was installed, and then the toe replaced on top of it.
Komatsu PC 750 with Extended Boom and Stick, Depth Capacity 65 ft. (19m). This unit Iso can be adapted to a Komatsu PC 800 and the Hitachi 750. Geo-Solutions has these combos in operation on sites in the US and in Australia. This unit is working on a cement-bentonite slurry wall for hazardous waste containment at a site near Wilmington, DE. Geo-Solutions extended reach excavator attachment
Geo-Solutions Komatsu excavator attachments Komatsu PC 750 with Extended Stick, Depth Capacity 53 ft. With the stick from the above combo mounted on the standard long boom, a lesser depth can be attained, but with a simpler set-up on site. This unit is working on a slurry cut-off wall that is acting as a groundwater barrier on a Superfund site in Aurora, CO.
Special Slurry Excavation Buckets Designed for Severe Duty and Narrow Width. Slurry walls are frequently keyed into hard materials such as weathered rock, glacial till, or stiff clays. Using buckets like these that are designed for maximum penetration in hard materials assure that the key-in required for a secure groundwater containment is attained. These buckets were used to penetrate shale bedrock on a site near Denver, CO. Geo-Solutions slurry clamshell bucket
Geo-Solutions excavation equipment Slurry Clamshell Bucket for Deep Excavations or Tight Quarters. At this site in Delaware City, DE, the Soil Bentonite slurry wall penetrated to depths in excess of 90 ft. (28m) and it also crossed under some active rail lines. The rail lines were closed for a few days while the clam excavated under and between the lines and the wall was backfilled to complete the slurry cut-off wall.
Heavy Duty Slurry Clamshell digging to Depths of 165 ft. (50m) on a project in Newcastle, Australia. This panel of Soil Cement Bentonite slurry wall passed under the active pipeline shown. Geo-Solutions slurry clamshell bucket

The excavation equipment built and owned by Geo-Solutions permits the efficient construction of slurry walls of all dimensions.
