Ground Improvement
Dynamic Consolidation
 |
Ground improvement technologies are used to change the characteristics of soil or rock to provide foundation support for structures, protection from earthquake-induced soil liquefaction, subsidence remediation, site improvement, and similar applications. There are a large number and variety of ground improvement or ground modification methods, many of which are specific to soil types and applications.
Why Use Geo-Solutions for Your Ground Improvement Project
The staff of Geo-Solutions has nearly three decades of experience in the design and construction of many different kinds of ground improvement and ground modification technologies, including:
Dynamic Compaction (DC) or Deep Dynamic Compaction (DDC)
In Situ Soil Mixing
Jet Grouting
Mini-Piles
Compaction Grouting
Intrusion Grouting
Vibrofloatation
Stone Columns
Wick Drains
Geo-Solutions’ Experience with Ground Modification
Chris Ryan studied under Dr. Louis Menard, the “inventor” of Dynamic Compaction in the 1970’s when the technique was first gaining widespread acceptance. During the 1990’s the principals of Geo-Solutions imported In Situ Soil Mixing and state-of-the-art Stone Column/Vibrofloatation technologies from Japan and Europe for the US market. Geo-Solutions has continued to devise and implement ground improvement projects using a variety of technologies. Our experience with many types of ground improvement methods gives us the experience to evaluate the real cost of competing techniques. Geo-Solutions is frequently asked to assist contractors and owners in the appropriate selection and implementation of these techniques.
